Twilio is a leading cloud communications platform provider. They have offices in London, Madrid, Malmö, Munich, Tallinn and, most recently, added their new Dublin office to their location portfolio.
This large single floor CAT B fit-out is on Level 1 of 78 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay in Dublin. The fit-out is designed to facilitate staff collaboration by introducing flexible working spaces, co-ordination meeting areas, break-out spaces, quiet rooms and a town hall for presentations.
Twilio’s new Dublin office also includes their specialised security operations centre.
The overall programme of the design and construction was 8 months.
Axiseng was commissioned by CBRE to undertake the mechanical and electrical services design of the fit-out.
The retrofitted comms room required an upgraded electrical supply to serve the equipment which was supported via dedicated air-conditioning services.
Some design challenges which were overcome included co-ordinating the cause-and-effect matrix to compliment the overall building’s strategy, routes for a new electrical supply to the comms room within restricted space availability and designing exposed services to suit the reflected ceiling plan whilst maximising use of the existing services.
The success of this project depended on our close co-ordination with the architect and taking into consideration the interior finishes, whilst maximising the mechanical and electrical performance from the existing services.
