Established in 2004, Axiseng is a highly resourced, independent building services consulting engineering practice. As responsible professional advisers, we represent our client’s best interests in every aspect of our service with advice, designs and lifetime costs tailored to suit the specific mechanical, electrical and environmental needs of each individual project.
Axiseng currently maintains a core staff of over 40 professional personnel. All of our staff are highly experienced and formally qualified in building services engineering. All projects are led by a Chartered Engineer with support from specialists in energy management, sustainability and building energy rating. Our leadership team comprising Cian Dowling, Ray Mason, Rachel McKenna, Bryan Dolan and Gillian Corrigan are well known in the construction industry for their integrity, expertise and project commitment. Our directors are supported by our Associate Directors, Eugene Wisely and Ciarán Fagan. The size of our practice allows the Directors and Associates to maintain a strong personal presence throughout the full duration of every project.

We can demonstrate in-house expertise in all aspects of building services and the principals of the company are recognised leaders in the fields of sustainable design, complex air conditioning installations and master-planning major developments. All information produced by our office is presented in clear, concise and unambiguous format. Our design packages are fully-detailed, scheduled and coordinated at tender stage and we protect our client’s interest at every stage of each commission.

| A Director and company Principal at Axiseng, Ray was a founding staff member of Axiseng when it was established in 2004 and he has played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth and development since then. Over two decades as a practitioner, Ray has honed his engineering and project management skills to become a respected industry figure and a ‘go-to’ resource for commercial, industrial and business critical infrastructure projects. With a keen interest in institutional, new commercial and commercial fit-out projects Ray has overseen the delivery of complex M&E projects ranging from healthcare buildings and schools to new commercial and office fit-outs. A born collaborator Ray is highly skilled at getting the best out of multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of fast-track fit-out projects for domestic and multinational clients. Prior to joining Axiseng, Ray worked with two respected independent consulting engineering practices in Dublin. |
A chartered accountant by profession, Gillian is Financial Controller and a Director of Axiseng which she joined more than a decade ago. Gillian’s financial rigour and discipline reflects a firm-wide professionalism that is client-centred and results focused regardless of the scale or pace of a project. Gillian’s attention to detail, ‘can do’ attitude and strict adherence to client, statutory and regulatory requirements means she plays a central role in project resourcing, tracking, reporting and accountability. Gillian began her career in information technology working as a project manager in e-learning and web development before moving into accountancy. As a result, she is well accustomed to delivering technically demanding and precise service in time critical environments. Prior to joining Axiseng, Gillian worked in private practice. | A Director and company Principal at Axiseng, Cian has worked in the Building Services industry and advisory space for over two decades. Over the past number of years he has been project lead on a range of prestigious commercial, industrial and business critical infrastructure projects, with clients such as Kennedy Wilson, Facebook, Google and JP Morgan. Over recent years Cian has specialised in the delivery of fast-track fit-out projects in excess of 1m sq. feet for discerning, time-critical projects for multinational clients. His high-quality engineering solutions typically include energy-aware design solutions tailored to a client’s specific requirements and preferences. Prior to joining the Axiseng team, Cian managed the Dublin office of an international partnership specialising in building engineering solutions, design services and performance and evaluation certification. He previously worked with a multi-disciplinary global engineering consultancy. |
A Director at Axiseng since 2023, Rachel has over 20 years of experience in the building services industry. Before joining Axiseng in 2015, Rachel previously worked in a design role on some of the most prestigious projects in UAE, including healthcare, high-rise residential & commercial developments, and retail & leisure projects. She also held an on-site construction administration role for a new hospital in the region.
Rachel is a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE and recently completed postgraduate diplomas in Construction Project Management & Construction Law. She is also a Registered Consulting Professional Engineer with ACEI. |
Bryan was appointed as Director of Axiseng in 2023, after joining Axiseng in 2022 as an Associate Director, with a decade of experience within a well-established consulting engineering practice.
Bryan is a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland, and a Registered Professional Consulting Engineer with ACEI. A dynamic client-driven engineer with extensive experience in projects across the commercial, fit-out, industrial, and healthcare sectors, such as fit-outs of office space, acute operating theatres, isolation rooms, wards, pharmaceutical cold room storage, and food packing plants. Bryan has proven expertise in leading successful bid processes and is well known for his “can do attitude” in delivering complex projects on time and within budget, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and fostering repeat business. Bryan combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and build lasting client relationships. |
