Crosslane Group is a student-centric real estate company specialising in acquiring, developing and managing purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) assets across the UK and continental Europe.
This recently completed development in the heart of Dublin, in the Liberties, Heyday Student Living offers private, ensuite rooms, with generous beds, superfast fibre broadband and all utilities included in the rent. The building has many facilities, including a gym, coffee shop, laundry, study areas, cinema room and multi-purpose room.
For the design & build project Axiseng teamed with Stewarts Construction, Duke McCaffrey Consulting and John Fleming Architects. We later teamed up with Scollard Doyle and C+W O’Brien Architects for the amenity space fit-out.
Axiseng were commissioned by the client to lead the mechanical and electrical services design for the base build and later for the fit-out of all amenities.
Design features in the apartment clusters include individual ensuite bedrooms leading to a communal kitchen/recreational area. Bedrooms utilised toilet pods to ensure efficient provision of services within programme.
In the amenity spaces, heat recovery units and VRF air-conditioning provide comfort heating and cooling. A number of bedrooms are provided with mechanical ventilation as a result of fixed punch type feature windows.
Domestic hot water is generated centrally via 3no. high efficiency gas-fired calorifiers located within the roof mounted plantroom and distributed to each ensuite pod/kitchen.
High efficiency LED lighting is used throughout with PIR sensors in transient spaces.
