Carrowmore Property Ltd. Is an independent real estate and development company with experience across a wide range of real estate assets and strategies, who provide a hands-on active management approach which often enables an investment to outperform original projections.

The project was a 260-bed student accommodation building, over 6 storeys including science labs and large communal area to the ground floor. There is also 150m2 gymnasium located in the courtyard.

We provided mechanical, electrical and lift services for the student accommodation as part of a design & build contract under the main contractor.

Axiseng was commissioned by Coleen Construction to lead the mechanical and electrical services design of the development, because of our previous experience with student accommodation developments.

Some challenges we had to overcome during the project were tight programme based on academic year, strict fire officer compliance issues around sleeping accommodation and adhering to TA performance specifications.

Experience from other ongoing projects at similar time helped us to ensure the latest specifications for wi-fi, access control, etc. for tenant requirements were incorporated.

The building achieved a BREEAM Very Good Rating.
