This recently completed development of Two North Dock consisted of fit-out works to the fourth floor of the building where the Shell&Core were provided by the Landlord.
The office of 1,500m2 consists of open plan office space, coffee dock/canteen area, meeting & huddle rooms, breakout spaces, a boardroom, print rooms and a comms room.
Axiseng provided water & drainage services, cooling & heating, ventilation, fire protection and BMS controls design. Electrical design services included site services, high/low level distribution, general & emergency lighting, security & protective services.
Axiseng was commissioned by the client to provide MEP services for their new office with all the latest mod-cons.
The focus of electrical design was on ICT services. 2No. diverse routes from incoming telecoms routed to the new comms room as per Comcast specifications. A rack system was designed within the comms room to allow for data cabling to the floorplate and for utilisation by the AV specialist. The comms room is backed up via a 5kVA UPS backup system.
There were some challenges we faced during the fit-out including time constrains as the handover of the comms room was at an earlier stage than the rest of the floorplate, changes in brief and deliverables for the electrical contractor and different geolocation of the Client.
Open and direct communication between all members of the design team and the Landlord’s representatives minimised any potential delays and any other arising issues.
