Project/Senior – Mechanical Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware Project / Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Building Services Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector developments.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team, you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from – concept design and feasibility studies through to tender, construction, commissioning and project handover. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable and technically robust mechanical building services solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and client service.
Key Areas of Impact
- Lead and support the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from inception to completion.
- Develop engineering solutions that balance technical excellence, sustainability, value engineering and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, structural engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare and review mechanical designs, calculations, technical specifications and tender documentation.
- Monitor project progress, quality standards, commissioning activities and site installations.
- Contribute to project planning, resource management and budget performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards and the Company’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building services design consultancy or a similar engineering environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and associated building services systems.
- Experience managing projects through design, tender and construction stages.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
